Fun gadgets can be tricky, we can help pilot the Tablet Wars!

This post is not about tablet reviews, instead a simple comparison guide that can help ease purchase anxiety and make you get the most out of your tablet. They might not be the newest tabs on the block but they are definitely still cool electronic gadgets and worth the investment.

The Google Nexus 7 Tablet is impressive because not only is it small (7 inches), it packs quite a punch. It sports a quad core processor capable of delivering lightning quick app launches and seamless multi-tasking. It has a very user-friendly price point at $245, making this product a definite bang-for-your-buck device. A drawback, however, and being a minor one in my opinion, is that it does not offer a rear-facing camera. But check out any cool gadget gift site and you will certainly find it in stock.

Shifting gears to Microsoft, their new Surface Windows 8 Tablet is the newest on the market and can definitely hold its own with the big boys. It is a tablet and a computer at the same time capable of running multiple apps seamlessly. This is totally a fun gadget and more useful than just games and videos. The Surface also comes with a case that doubles as protection and a fully functional keyboard! It does have some drawbacks however; this particular tab is double the price of the Nexus 7 at $499. You cannot download third party apps from the app store, but aside from that it is designed to compete against the iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Tab. If money is no option and you want a more complete computer experience, than the Microsoft Surface Windows 8 tablet will fulfill your every need.

Depending on how much you are willing to spend or the experience you are looking for, both products can be found on any cool gadget gift site ready to deliver as promised.
